Xiaomi has finally launched its new Redmi 10X series in the Chinese market through the official launch event held on the 26th of May 2020 held in China. It is touted as the cheapest 5G smartphone launched so far.

Redmi 10X will be offered in 4G and 5G variants, whereas Redmi 10X Pro will get just the 5G version.
The latest additions to Redmi’s smartphone portfolio run on MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC and pack 4,520mAh battery. The Redmi 10X 5G offers a triple rear camera setup, while the Redmi 10X Pro 5G has a quad camera setup at the back. Both phones support dual band 5G and come with a screen fingerprint sensor. A Redmi 10X 4G model has also launched alongside, and this variant seems to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9.
Redmi 10X 4G specifications
It sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ LCD display that has a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and offers up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, the smartphone houses a 13 MP selfie camera on the front. It features a quad camera setup at the back that includes 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Redmi 10X 4G comes with a 5,020 mAh battery that supports 18 W fast charging and 9W reverse charging.
Redmi 10X 5G Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 10X 5G runs on MIUI 11. MIUI 12 updates will gradually rollout via OTA starting from late June 2020. It features a 6.57-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with HDR10+ and 600nits brightness. It is powered by the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 820 processor, coupled with Mali-G57 MC5 GPU. The phone packs up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
For the imaging needs, the Redmi 10X 5G has a triple camera setup at the back with 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Up front, the phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, housed inside the waterdrop-style notch.
The Redmi 10X 5G includes 4,520mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging. Connectivity options include SA/NSA dual mode 5G support, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The Redmi 10X 5G comes with a fingerprint sensor underneath the display. The phone’s dimensions measure at 164.16×75.75×8.99mm, and it weighs 205 grams. The Redmi 10X comes with IP53-level for dust and splash protection.
Redmi 10X Pro 5G specifications
Redmi 10X Pro comes with a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display with HDR10. It is powered by 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC and offers up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on MIUI 12.
The smartphone features a 20 MP selfie camera and on the back, it has a quad-camera setup. This camera setup includes a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP telephoto lens, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5 MP macro lens.
It is equipped with a 4,520 mAh battery that comes with 33W fast charging support.
Dimensity 820 Benchmark Score
A screenshot of comparing AnTuTu benchmark scores of Dimensity 820 SoC which powers the Redmi 10X/10X Pro 5G phones and Snapdragon 765G SoC has surfaced online which shows the former scoring 406,664 points while the later managed to score 325,155 points.
The company also shared AnTuTu benchmark score of the recently launched smartphone, which managed to score an impressive 406,664 points. With such score, it has easily surpassed the score from its rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC.
MediaTek offered up some carefully selected benchmarks that showed the Dimensity 820 taking on and beating the Snapdragon 765G. For instance, the new 7nm SoC defeated Qualcomm’s part by +7% and +37% in Geekbench 4.2 tests and managed a massive 300% higher performance in an apparent AI benchmark. Beyond these results, it is the MediaTek Dimensity 820’s recorded scores of 415,277 and 415,672 points on AnTuTu that are truly remarkable.
Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X 4G and Redmi 10X Pro 5G pricing, availability
Redmi 10X 5G comes in four storage options: 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,900), 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 19,100), 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant will cost you CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 22,200) and the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model will cost you CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 25,400).
Redmi 10X Pro 5G comes in just two storage variants: 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 24,800) and the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 25,500).
The Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G will go on sale on 1 June and 5 June respectively.
Redmi 10X 4G comes in two storage models: 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,500) and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB variant is priced at CNY 1,199 (approx Rs 12,700). It is now available for sale in China.
The three smartphones of the Redmi 10X series are available in blue, pink, gold and white color options.
