Redmi 10x is touted to be the first and most cheapest 5G smartphone powered by Dimensity 820 SoC and will have dual 5G sim support.

The Redmi 10X will be the first phone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset. That chip supports dual SIM, dual standby functionality on 5G, allowing both SIM cards to be connected at the same time.

With 5G coverage as spotty as it is, it will allow you to seamlessly switch between two carriers to get the best experience. The company is hinting at other benefits too, teased on May 26 when the phone was unveiled).

You can see the extensive customization options in the teaser video below (bonus fact: the Redmi 10X will feature MIUI 12’s super wallpapers).

Connectivity aside, the Redmi 10X will feature an AMOLED screen, something rarely seen in these price ranges. This will enable the Always On Display feature and it seems that it will be highly customizable with text, patterns and even images (besides the clock and notifications, of course).

The Dimensity 820 chipset will enable close to flagship performance in addition to the advanced connectivity. There’s no word on India pricing yet – that detail will be revealed on the India launch event – but the 10X is one to watch out for. Actually, there are two of them, Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G.
