Realme Watch Renders Leaked – Know More Details

Realme Watch is coming soon. With the design out now, here’s more you need to know about the upcoming Realme Smartwatch.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Realme Watch could have a 1.4-inch LCD display.
  • It could run on a custom OS built by Realme.
  • The Realme Watch will be squarish in shape.

CEO of Madhav Sheth offered a glimpse of the Realme smartwatch a month ago, promising that it will be available to consumers “soon”. It still isn’t, but an XDA contributor has dug up images and details about the company’s second smart wearable (after the Realme Band).

You can also watch the all exclusive interview with Realme CEO, Madhav Seth who shared about the upcoming Realme Smartwatch in one of the #AskMadhav episode.

Folks at XDA Developers have claimed to have gained access “to a lot of information” about the Realme Watch. This includes the renders of the Realme Watch, its various functions, and screenshots of how the interface on it would look. The Realme Watch will have a squarish dial with silicone straps that look like those on the Apple Watch. The report has doubted the straps are unlikely to be interchangeable. The display on the Realme Watch has thick bezels, with the bottom chin flaunting the Realme logo. There is a single physical button on the right edge, which can be programmed for various functionalities.

The Realme Watch will come with a 1.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 320×320 pixels, as per the report. It will pack a 160mAh battery under the hood with a life of 7 days on real-time heart rate monitoring. There will be IP68 dust and water resistance on the Realme Watch as well. The report claims Realme Watch will not run on Wear OS, instead, it will be preloaded with a custom OS made by the company.

Realme’s smartwatch will support Bluetooth v5.0 without native GPS. There will be limited storage on the Realme Watch and it will be able to store data only for seven days before it starts deleting older data “on a rolling basis”. Music playback is also supported on the Realme Watch, along with an option to use the smartwatch as a Bluetooth-enabled shutter for the paired phone camera.

There will be five watch faces preloaded on the Realme Watch, the report has added. But there should be an option to download more through the companion app. The availability for third-party watch faces is not known at the point. There will also be a Find My Phone tool to locate the paired phone.

The health-related functions on the Realme Watch include step counting, heart rate monitoring, weather tools, stopwatch, and alarm. These tools will be available via a four-paned interface on the smartwatch. There will also be at least 15 different kinds of exercises, including outdoor running, walking, swimming, indoor running, outdoor riding, aerobic capacity, strength training, football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, indoor riding, yoga, elliptical machine, and cricket.

Here’s a look at the Activity panel, which displays weather info and charts the sleep and heart rate data that the watch has collected, plus a list of other functions (e.g. Alarm and Find my phone) as well as the exercise modes.

Since the smartwatch will be focused on the Indian market, Hindi will be available as an optional language for the interface, in addition to English. The report, however, does not mention if the smartwatch will support other Indic languages, as well.

We do not know when the Realme Watch will be launched, in India or elsewhere. We also do not know the final branding of the product — though “Realme Watch” seems like a safe bet to us. We also do not know which price point Realme would be targeting for this product. Though, since it is in a similar product category as the Amazfit Bip, we can expect the watch to be around that price range.

Realme Smartwatch launch in India is expected by June. Its launch in India will depend how long the lockdown continues, when the operations resume and companies can start shipping their products.
