OnePlus 8, 8 Pro pre-booking starts on Amazon India with Rs 1,000 cashback offer

Earlier this month, OnePlus globally announced the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. Now it has begun the pre-orders of the smartphones on Amazon India

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the Chinese firm is determined to start with the sales of its latest flagships. At 00:00 AM in India since April 29, Amazon India started receiving the pre-orders of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones.

On Amazon India, customers can pre-book the OnePlus 8 series with a gift card of Rs. 1,000 or more and take advantage of Rs. 1,000 cashback as Amazon Pay balance. In order to take advantage of the offers, customers can visit the Amazon.in email gift card page and choose a desired denomination of Rs. 1,000 or above and avail the OnePlus Gift Card between April 29 and May 10.

The gift card will be sent to the email address of the user. It can be claimed using the link provided in the email. Next, users are required to purchase OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro between May 11 and June 30. The Rs. 1,000 cashback will reflect in the Amazon Pay account within 30 days of purchasing the smartphone.

Interestingly, OnePlus is not the only smartphone brand to be accepting pre-orders, as even Xiaomi, Samsung and Vivo are currently taking pre-orders for their products. With no clarity on when they will ship, this is a good way for them to gauge the demand for their products and keep inventory ready accordingly. Speculations also suggest that smartphone retailers will soon be allowed to function in India, as consumers are growing more dependent on them.
